Amanda graduated from Wheaton College in 2018 with a B.S. in Chemistry. In the Spring of 2018, Amanda worked for Prof. Dan Burden at Wheaton College to create multilayered minimal actin cortices for improved mechanical resilience of black lipid membranes. For the 2018-2019 academic year, Amanda continued working for Prof. Dan Burden as a postbaccalaureate research assistant. Amanda joined the Hergenrother Lab in the fall of 2019 and is now working to synthesize and characterize pro-ferroptotic compounds.
